9.9.6 Engine Oil Pressure Warning Indicator Troubleshooting

Check engine for
oil pressure.
Not
OK
Check connections at oil
pressure switch and
instrument cluster.
Repair as needed.
Disconnect oil pressure
switch at harness.
Turn ignition OFF and check
for grounded circuit.
If light is still on,
check wire 16 (BLU). Refer to
Section 9.7.6, “Main
Electrical Schematic.”
Engine oil pressure
warning indicator stays
ON while operating.
Repair engine
component.

Replace instrument cluster.

electrical circuit, ALWAYS
begin by checking the
following:
1. Fuses.
2. Battery for proper charge.
3. All connections relating to
circuit are clean and tight.
4. Check instrument cluster
bulbs for proper function.
