Other Settings and Registration

Setting the Date and Time

The date and time appearing in the message display may be set. As
all communications which use the timer will transpire based on the
date and time registered here, this setting must be performed prior to
scheduling a communication which uses the timer.

* To cancel the procedure part way through, press the STOP key.

The message display will revert to the initial mode.

* If Restricted access is turned ON, it is first necessary to enter the

registered management password and then press the ENTER
FUNCTION key. Refer to “(5) Entering Your Access Code”, page 7-28.

1. Press the FUNCTION key.

2. Press the (

) cursor key until the following message appears in

the message display.

3. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

4. Press the (

) cursor key until the following message appears in

the message display.

5. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

6. Use the keypad to set the present day, month, year and the time,

in that order.
* The time should be set on a 24-hour time basis (00:00 - 23:59).

7. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

8. Press the STOP key. The message display will revert to the initial

mode.

Registering your Self-station
Information (fax number and name)

Information identifying your station (fax number and name) will, if
registered here, be printed out on the destination fax’s recording
paper, thereby instantly notifying the receiver of the source of fax
transmission.
To enter this information, carry out the following procedure.
* Modification of previously registered information is accomplished by

following the procedure below and changing the registered data to
that desired.

* In order to confirm previously registered information, print out a

User setting list. (Refer to “User Setting List”, page 8-4.)

* It is also possible to prevent the self-station information registered

here from being printed out at the destination fax. (Refer to “TTI
Transmission ON/OFF”, page 9-3.)

* To cancel the procedure part way through, press the STOP key.

5. Use the keypad to enter the your own fax number. (Max. 20 digits)

* To add a plus sign (+) at the beginning of your fax number, press

" on the keypad.

6. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

* If you are finished registering self-station information, press the

STOP key. The message display will revert to the initial mode.

8. Enter your name. (Refer to “

Entering Characters”, page 2-21.)

9. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

10. Press the STOP key. The message display will revert to the initial
