(4) Printing Out a Chain Dial List

Printing out this list enables the user to confirm the contents of chain
dial keys as well as to verify which one-touch keys have been
registered as chain dial keys.
* To cancel the procedure part way through, press the STOP key.

The message display will revert to the initial mode.

* If Restricted access is turned ON, it is first necessary to enter the

registered management password and then press the ENTER
FUNCTION key. Refer to “(5) Entering Your Access Code”, page 7-28.

The procedures for those operations that are carried out often – or
on a regular basis – can be registered under a one-touch key
which will then function as a program key for one-touch operation.
The following 6 methods of communication can be registered
under a program key.

Transmission
Polling reception
F-Code based Confidential transmission
F-Code based Relay broadcast transmission
F-Code based Confidential polling reception
Continuous polling reception

* A maximum of 20 program keys can be registered in this fax.
* If all of the fax numbers for any one program key are entered

using abbreviated numbers or one-touch keys, it is possible to
register up to 145 different fax numbers under that key.

Program Keys

(1) Registering

* To cancel the procedure part way through, press the STOP key.

The message display will revert to the initial mode.

* If Restricted access is turned ON, it is first necessary to enter the

registered management password and then press the ENTER
FUNCTION key. Refer to “(5) Entering Your Access Code”, page 7-28.

(3) Using a Chain Dial Key

* To cancel the procedure part way through, press the STOP key.

The message display will revert to the initial mode.

* If Restricted access is turned ON, it is first necessary to enter your

access code (or the registered management password) and then
press the ENTER FUNCTION key. Refer to “(5) Entering Your
Access Code”, page 7-28.

1. If the operation involves the transmission of documents, set the

documents to be transmitted and, if necessary, select the desired
resolution and contrast.

2. Press the desired one-touch key which was registered as a chain

dial key.

3. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

4. Enter the other party’s fax number.

To enter multiple fax numbers, repeat steps

and

below until

all desired fax numbers have been entered.
* The fax number can be entered using the keypad, abbreviated

numbers or one-touch keys.

* If “EXCEEDS MAX. DEST” appears in the message display, the

number of fax numbers entered exceeds the acceptable limit.

Check the display and press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

5. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

6. Press the START key.

The communication will begin.
