Other Settings and Registration

Number of Rings

The number of times the bell will “ring” in the following automatic
reception modes can be set here.

Auto fax reception

Sets the number of “rings” (1 - 11 rings) before the fax answers an
incoming call in the Auto fax reception mode.

TAD reception

Sets the number of times a separately purchased telephone with
answering machine capabilities will ring (1 - 15 rings) before the fax
answers an incoming call in the TAD reception mode.

* To cancel the procedure part way through, press the STOP key.

The message display will revert to the initial mode.

* If Restricted access is turned ON, it is first necessary to enter the

registered management password and then press the ENTER
FUNCTION key. Refer to “(5) Entering Your Access Code”, page 7-28.

1. Press the FUNCTION key.

2. Press the (

) cursor key until the following message appears in

the message display.

3. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

4. Press the (

) cursor key until the desired setting appears in the

message display.

> Auto fax reception

> TAD reception

5. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

> Auto fax reception

> TAD reception

6. Use the keypad to enter the desired number of rings for that

setting.

7. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

8. Press the STOP key. The message display will revert to the initial

One-Touch Dial Confirmation
ON/OFF

If One-touch dial confirmation is turned ON, it is possible to check the
message display before dialling for verification purposes.
(Refer to “<One-touch dial confirmation>”, page 2-14.)

The message display will revert to the initial mode.
