(9) Registering and Deleting Confidential

Boxes (2nd line)

Carry out the following procedure to register and/or delete
Confidential boxes for use with the 2nd line.

* To cancel the procedure part way through, press the STOP key.

The message display will revert to the initial mode.

* If Restricted access is turned ON, it is first necessary to enter the

registered management password and then press the ENTER
FUNCTION key. Refer to “(5) Entering Your Access Code”, page 7-28.

1. Press the FUNCTION key.

2. Press the (

) cursor key until the following message appears in

the message display.

3. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

4. Press the (

) cursor key once.

5. Press the ENTER FUNCTION key.

When registering Confidential boxes

To carry out the remaining steps in this procedure, refer to
“(1) Registering Confidential Boxes”, page 7-7, and proceed from
step 4.

When deleting Confidential boxes

To carry out the remaining steps in this procedure, refer to
“(2) Deleting Confidential Boxes”, page 7-8, and proceed from step 4.

(8) Fax Forwarding ON/OFF (2nd line)

Fax forwarding allows documents received during designated hours
to be saved into memory and automatically forwarded to another fax
number which is registered in advance. It is also possible to have the
received documents printed out at this fax in addition to the
designated fax. In this fax, the 1st line (standard line) and the 2nd line
can be set independently. Carry out the following procedure to select
the 2nd line for Fax forwarding.
* Refer to page 7-16 for more detailed information on Fax forwarding

using the 1st line (standard line).

* If Fax forwarding is turned ON, received documents will be

automatically printed out at this fax any time the forwarding
operation is unsuccessful, even if the “PRINT HERE” setting is
turned OFF.

* To cancel the procedure part way through, press the STOP key.

The message display will revert to the initial mode.

* If Restricted access is turned ON, it is first necessary to enter the

registered management password and then press the ENTER
