Replacing Consumables and Maintenance

1. Press the main body release button and open the facsimile.
2. Remove the new toner cartridge from its case and place it
on a stable surface.
3. Attach the toner cartridge cover (the case from the new
cartridge) to the main body of the facsimile by fitting the two
holes in the toner cartridge cover over the two projections on
the main body.

4. Slide the toner cartridge cover to the left to fix it in place.

When the amount of toner in the toner cartridge has run low, “ADD
TONER” will appear in the message display. In this case, reception
and copying is still possible, but the toner cartridge should be
replaced as soon as possible. If you continue to use the facsimile
without replacing the toner cartridge, after a certain amount of time
“ADD TONER” will be the only message shown in the message
display and print out will not be possible.

5. Hold down the right side of the toner cartridge with one hand
and, with the other hand, pull the toner cartridge release
lever toward you until it stops. Then return the toner
cartridge release lever to its original position by pushing it
away from you until it stops.
