1. Double-click on the icon with the name of this printer in the

Windows display.

2. When printing under PCL 4.5 Emulation, the main dialogue box will

appear.
Click on RESET to clear the printing and font parameters. Click on
FROM FEED to force print any print data remaining in memory.

3. Double-click on the MS-DOS Prompt icon to display the MS-DOS

Prompt display.

4. Create the document in an MS-DOS application.

* For a detailed explanation of the proper procedure for this step,

as well as steps 5 and 6, refer to the instruction manual of the
related application software.

5. Select HP LaserJet IIP in the Print menu for the application in

use.

* If HP LaserJet IIP is not available, select HP LaserJet SeriesII.

6. Select the printing parameters and perform the appropriate printing

procedure.

PCL 4.5 Emulation

(1) Description

In addition to standard printing under Windows 95/98, Windows
NT 4.0 and Windows 3.1, this facsimile can be used as a printer
under emulation of Hewlett-Packard Corporation’s PCL 4.5. As long
as the printer driver for this Printing System is installed under
Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 3.1, you can use PCL
4.5 Emulation to print under the DOS mode.
