Setting the Host VLAN

Purpose

To configure a host VLAN that only select devices are allowed to access. This secures the host port 
for management‐only tasks. 

Commands

show host vlan

Use this command to display the current host VLAN. 

Syntax

show host vlan

Parameters

None.

Defaults

None.

Mode

Switch command, read‐only.

Example

This example shows how to display the host VLAN:

D2(su)->show host vlan
Host vlan is 7.

set host vlan

Use this command to assign host status to a VLAN. 

Syntax

set host vlan vlan-id

Note: The host port is the management entity of the device.
