Field Descriptions for Diagnose Equipment Window

Field

Description

Equipment to

diagnose:

Specifies whether the type of equipment to be diagnosed is a circuit card or
a bus. Enter card or bus, or press

F 2

(Choices) to select from a menu.

There is no default value for this field. This is a required field.

Equipment

number:

A number that identifies each E1/T1, LSPS, or SSP circuit card. Equipment
numbers are defined by the position of the circuit card in the circuit card
table shown on the Display Voice Equipment window (

Figure 61 on page

96

). Card range can be from 1 to 16. When you specify a range of circuit

cards, cards are diagnosed in order, one at a time. This is a required field.
The bus value must be 1.

Immediate

diagnosis?:

Specifies whether there should be immediate diagnosis on the selected
circuit card. Type y for yes, n for no, or press

F 2

(Choices) to select from a

menu. If you choose yes, all calls on active channels for the specified
equipment are terminated. If there are active calls and you choose no, the
circuit card is returned to the original state and diagnostics are not
performed. This is a required field.

This field does not apply to bus diagnostics.
