This field specifies the name by which
you want to refer to this connection. —
Remote DB’s
Connect
Descriptor:
This field specifies the database instance
on the remote database server to which
you want to connect. This connect
descriptor is put into the
/oracle/network/admin/tnsnames.ora file if
it is not already in that file.

Remote Server’s
DB Instance:
This field specifies the name of the
ORACLE database instance on the
remote database server. This field is also
known as the ORACLE SID. This name must match the
corresponding ORACLE SID
on the server system.
Contact the server’s
database administrator for
this name.
