Fibre Channel Test Application
To select, configure, and start a Fibre Channel test:
1. From the test menu, tap Setup.
2. From the Test Applications tab, under Fibre Channel, tap the
FC BERT test icon.
3. Tap the Interface tab to configure the physical interface, World Wide
Name, Buffer to Buffer Flow Control, and Login settings. Refer to
Interface - Port (Fibre Channel) on page 139 for more information.
Ensure that the link is up and the power level is present in the status
bar before proceeding to the next step (refer to Status Bar on page 26).
4. Tap the Global tab to configure Frame, Pass/Fail Verdict, BER,
Round-Trip Latency, and Test Timer. Refer to Global (Fibre Channel)
on page 130 for more information.
5. Tap the Start button from the right navigation bar to start the test (refer
to Start/Stop Button on page 492). The Summary result page will be
automatically displayed when the test is started from any Setup
configuration page. For additional results refer to Test Results on
page 241.
6. When the test ends automatically or manually stopped, the generate
report pop-up is displayed by default. If required, tap Yes to generate a
report of the test results and statistics (refer to Report Button on
page 481 for more information).
