3. Once the file has been downloaded, allow at least 20 minutes for Explorer to
reach the new assay set points and then calibrate Explorer.
If you have installed an assay that requires different carrier gas, you must purge
the carrier gas reservoir. Once you have filled the reservoir with the new carrier
gas, you must allow the instrument to purge for a few hours, preferably
overnight. This will flush the analytical engine with the new carrier gas.
NOTE: The Environmental Assay (Assay 1) method is specific to an Environmental Assay instrument. You
cannot install any other assay on an instrument configured for the Environmental Assay.
