1. Turn
Explorer off.
2. Attach the AC adapter to
Explorer must be connected to the AC adapter
in order to download firmware.
3. Connect
Explorer to the PC as described in Connecting the PC to Explorer on
page
96.
4. Open your communications software.
If you are using HyperTerminal, start Windows and then start HyperTerminal.
HyperTerminal may be in the Accessories Program Group. Its location will
depend on how you have set up Windows. Double-click Hypertrm.exe to run
the program.
5. Create and save a configuration file, so that each time you use the
communications software with
Explorer you can load this file. Enter a name for
your configuration file, then select an icon and press OK.
6. In HyperTerminal, the Phone number dialog box will now open, move to the
last option,
Connect Using
and select
direct connection
.
7. Select the port to which Explorer is connected and click
OK
.

COM2
if you are using COM2.
8. Set the following:
Bits per Second (bps)
9600
Data Bits
8
Parity
None
Stop Bits
1
Flow Control
None
