Span Your Valves

Chapter 9

12.

Disable set-output by transitioning DYC01-B08 (B34/392) to 0.

13.

Download your changes in EAC to the QDC module.

Important: If downloading from your programming terminal, download
EAC followed by EPC with download bits B21/21 and 23 (chapter 4).

Test Valve Linearity with an Ejector Pressure Profile

1.

Jog your ejector to the fully retracted position.

2.

Enable the ejector profile by setting DYC02-B14 (B34/414) to 1.
The ejector should move through its advance and retract stroke. If no
motion, verify that:

- no overtravel alarms are set. The QDC module inhibits ejector

profiles if SYS07-B00 through SYS07-B05 are set

- there are no programming error codes in SYS61 and SYS62

3.

Upon completion of the ejector profile, observe the pressures reported
for ejector advance and ejector retract segment 1 in EPS10 (N45:182)
and EPS34 (N45:206). If observed pressures are not approximately
equal to the setpoints entered in EPC10 and EPC34, then check:

- was your valve and solenoid alignment the same for ejector profile

execution and ejector action in set-output?

If the observed pressures in EPS10 and EPS34 (N45:182 and 206) are still
not within 20% of setpoints EPC10 and EPC34 (N45:126 and 150), your
pressure valve is not linear over the desired range. Correct as follows:

If:

And Your Selected

Valve is:

Then change EAC44 (N45:40)

or ERC44 (N45:100) as follows:

EPS10 was less than EPC10

Direct Acting

Increase EAC44 by 5%

Reverse Acting

Decrease EAC44 by 5%

EPS10 was more than EPC10 Direct Acting

Decrease EAC44 by 5%

Reverse Acting

Increase EAC44 by 5%

EPS34 was less than EPC34

Direct Acting

Increase ERC44 by 5%

Reverse Acting

Decrease ERC44 5%

EPS34 was more than EPC34 Direct Acting

Decrease ERC44 5%

Reverse Acting

Increase ERC44 by 5%

To do this: change EAC44 or ERC44, download the EAC or ERC block,
and repeat steps 1-3. Do this as necessary.

Important: If downloading from your programming terminal, download
EAC or ERC followed by EPC with download bits B21/21 or 22, and 23.
