End-of-segment Position Setpoints for Clamp and Ejector
These setpoints depend on the mold, clamp, and ejector configurations of
your molding machine. In general, you are not required to enter any
end-of-segment position setpoints for the clamp or ejector. If you DO
NOT use them, expect the following results in these movements:

For this movement

The QDC module

Then the QDC module:

First Clamp Close

Uses any nonĆzero velocity setpoint (CPC09)

or pressure setpoint (CPC10) until the clamp

reaches the protective start LPC position

(CPC61). The 2nd and 3rd clamp close

movements are not used.

Either stops and zeros outputs (CPC03ĆB11 = 1)

or begins LPC movement (CPC03ĆB11 = 0)

until the clamp reaches the configured moldĆsafe

position (CPC62).

First Clamp Open

Uses any nonĆzero velocity setpoint (OPC09)

or pressure setpoint (OPC10 until the clamp

reaches the protective start open slow position

(OPC61). The 2nd and 3rd clamp open

movements are not used.

Either stops and zeros outputs (OPC03ĆB11 = 1)

or begins OpenĆSlow movement (OPC03ĆB11 = 0)

until the clamp reaches the configured mold fully

open position (OPC62).

Ejector

Uses velocity setpoint (EPC09) or pressure

setpoint (EPC10) until the ejector reaches its

fully advanced position (EPC59).

Either stops and sets outputs (EPC03ĆB12 = 1)

or begins retract movement (EPC03ĆB12 = 0)

with velocity setpoint (EPC33) or pressure

setpoint (EPC34) until the ejector reaches the

configured fully retract position (EPC60).

During normal operation, the only required end-of-segment position
setpoints are for:

first clamp close (CPC11) to identify the operational start LPC position
first clamp open (OPC11) to identify the operational start open-slow

position

If you need additional profile segments (with the same unselected valve
set-output values), begin with:

2nd segment of first clamp close for clamp close profiles
2nd segment of first clamp open for open profiles

Use all available segments in first clamp close and first clamp open before
using any in second and third clamp close/open (unless you require
different unselected valve set-output values for successive segments).

If using ejectors, start with the first advance and retract setpoints. If
additional profiled setpoints are required, add the second, then the third
advance and retract setpoints.
