Host Computers

The decoder connects directly to other host computers using the
RS-232 or RS-422 interface of the host device, or can be
multi-dropped (with DH485) through a 1784-KR module.

Decoder

The Series B decoder has two types of memory:

operating memory

storage memory.

Figure 3.2 shows the relationship of the types of memory, and the
text that follows summarizes their contents.
