autom. Auto-
increment the number
in the sample name

If a sample name ends with a number (e.g. "Name001"),
this figure is automatically incremented by a certain amount
and suggested for the next sample (e.g. "Name002").

Exceptions:

If the number of characters is completely used up (e.g.
"Name999"), it is not incremented and the same name
is suggested for the next sample.

If the figure is not at the end of the sample name (e.g.
"Name001xyz"), it is not incremented.

autom. Auto-

Radiobutton

Works the same way as auto-increment, only the figure in
the name is decremented.

Exception:

The figure "zero" is not decremented.
