SET PASSWORD MANAGER
Syntax
set password manager
Parameters
None.
Description
This command sets the manager’s password. Logging in as manager
allows you to view and change all switch parameters. The default
password is “friend.” The password can be from 0 to 16 alphanumeric
characters. Allied Telesyn recommends that you avoid special
characters, such as spaces, asterisks, or exclamation points because
some web browsers do not accept them in passwords. The password is
case sensitive.
Example
The following command changes the manager’s password:
set password manager
Follow the prompts to enter the new password.
