Item

Exceeding an upper limit writes a message to the Message Log, turns off pressure
at both the HSM and hydraulic power unit (HPU), and stops any program
command. The Upper Limit indicator turns green.

Sets the lower limit that the conditioner’s feedback signal voltage must exceed
to trigger a hardware interlock.

Lower Limit

Exceeding a lower limit writes a message to the Message Log, turns off pressure

command. The Lower Limit indicator turns green.

How to Set Series 497 Hardware Limit Detectors

Access

Station Setup window > navigation pane > Channels control mode >

> Hardware Limits tab

This tab, provided on FlexTest IIm systems only, allows you to set hardware limits for individual Series 497
Conditioners in your system.

Method 1

1. On the Station Manager window’s Display menu, select Station Setup.

2. On the Station Setup window navigation pane, click Detectors and then Hardware Limits.

3. In the Hardware Limit Detectors panel:

a. Set the Upper Limits value as required for each signal.

b. Set the Lower Limits value as required for each signal.

Method 2

1. On the Station Manager window’s Display menu, select Station Setup.

2. On the Station Setup window’s navigation pane, locate and select the Channels feedback signal to be

monitored for limits.

3. In the Station Setup window, click

4. On the Inputs panel, click the Hardware Limits tab.

5. On the Hardware Limits tab, set the conditioner’s Upper Limit, and Lower Limit.

6. As required, enable or disable the hardware limits and excitation interlocks with the Enable Hardware

Interlocks (Limits and Excitation) check box.
