Deleting a Generic Service

To delete a generic service:

1. On the Generic Services Menu, enter

Enter item number of service to be deleted [‘h’ for help/<ret> to exit] :

The parameters are defined in Modifying a Generic Service on page 26-21.

2. Enter the item number of the service you want to delete. A message similar to the follow-

ing displays:

Are you sure you want to delete item 1? [y/n] (n) :

3. Enter

y

to delete the service. The Configured Generic Services screen redisplays with the

State parameter changed to

deleted

. At this point, the service is marked for deletion but

has not actually been deleted from the configuration.
