2. Click the Query icon .
Viewing devices in a DC
In the DC list, click the name of a DC to view its details page. The details page enables you to manage
the network devices, servers, and storage devices in the DC. For more information, see " Managing
network devices ," " Managing servers ," and " Managing storage devices ."
Adding a DC
1. In the DC list, click Add.
The Add DC window appears.
2. Enter a name for the DC.
The name must be unique in VFM.
3. Click OK.
Modifying a DC
This function enables you to modify only the name of a DC.
To modify a DC:
1. In the DC list, click for the target DC.
2. Click the Modify DC icon .
The Modify DC window appears.
3. Enter a new name for the DC.
4. Click OK.
Deleting a DC
CAUTION:
When you delete a DC from the DC list, all devices and related services in the DC are also deleted from
VFM. The devices are not deleted from the IMC Platform.
To delete a DC:
1. In the DC list, select one or more DCs.
2. Click Delete.
A confirmation dialog box appears.
3. Click OK.
Locating a VM by MAC address
This function enables you to locate a VM, and the data center and server to which the VM belongs by
its MAC address. If VFM fails to locate the data center and server, it locates the access device that
learned the MAC address of the VM.
