2.

Select the RBs whose TRILL configuration you want to modify.

3.

Click Batch Configure.
The Batch Configure Parameters window appears.

4.

Configure the following parameters:

{

Maximum LSP Age (Seconds)—Specify the maximum age of LSPs. An LSP originated by an RB
uses the maximum age as the remaining lifetime. When the remaining lifetime of an LSP in the

LSDB is 0 seconds, the RB removes the LSP's content, keeps the LSP's digest, and purges the
LSP from the network by advertising the LSP that has the remaining lifetime set to 0.

{

LSP Refresh Interval (Seconds)—Specify the LSP refresh interval. When the remaining lifetime
of a locally originated LSP is no greater than (Maximum LSP age – LSP refresh interval), the LSP

is refreshed even if no change occurs to it. This mechanism avoids frequent LSP aging and

ensures network stability.

5.

Click OK.

Modifying TRILL configuration of an RB

You can also modify the TRILL configuration of an individual RB.
To modify the TRILL configuration of an individual RB:

1.

Access the RB List page.

2.

Click the Operation icon

for the RB whose TRILL parameters you want to configure.

3.

Select Device Configuration from the shortcut menu.
The Modify TRILL configuration of a device window appears.

4.

Configure the following parameters:

{

System ID—Enter a unique system ID for the RB. The system ID identifies an RB in a TRILL
network.

{

Nickname—Enter a nickname for the RB. The nickname of an RB is the address of the RB in the
TRILL network.

{

Maximum LSP Age (Seconds)—Specify the maximum age of LSPs originated by the RB. An LSP
originated by the RB uses the maximum age as the remaining lifetime. When the remaining

lifetime of an LSP in the LSDB is 0 seconds, the RB removes the LSP's content, keeps the LSP's
digest, and purges the LSP from the network by advertising the LSP that has the remaining

lifetime set to 0.

{

LSP Refresh Interval (Seconds)—Specify the LSP refresh interval for the RB. When the
remaining lifetime of a locally originated LSP is no greater than (Maximum LSP age – LSP

refresh interval), the LSP is refreshed even if no change occurs to it. This mechanism avoids

frequent LSP aging and ensures network stability.

{

Priority to be Distribution Tree Root—Set the priority for the RB to be a TRILL distribution tree
root. In a TRILL network, multiple distribution trees are computed to direct the forwarding of

multicast, broadcast, and unknown unicast frames. The RB with the highest tree-root priority is

elected as the root of the TRILL distribution tree.

5.

Click OK.

Managing TRILL configuration of an interface

You can enable or disable TRILL for interfaces and modify the TRILL configuration for TRILL interfaces.
