Triggering a scope to get a CEC waveform output
The 882CA generator enables you to trigger an oscilloscope in order to obtain a waveform
of your CEC message. When one of the generator’s CEC emulated devices issues a
message and specifically an end of message bit, it transmits a synchronization pulse out
the special sync output that can be used to trigger an oscilloscope. This enables you to
view the message that the generator sends and the response message from the device
under test.
You will need either the Yokagawa DL1640 or Tektronix TDS7404 oscilloscope with
appropriate probes or equivalent. You will also need the TPA-CEC-RR Test Point Adapter
(TPA).
