Link Layer sink control operations
The 882E enables you to control the DisplayPort link layer functions directly through the
command line and to a limited degree through the front panel. This section provides
procedures to control these link layer functions.
Link Layer sink control operations through command line
The following table describes the set of controls you have over the link layer.
Command Description
DPTX:CLEV
DPTX:CLEV? Specifies the current level from 1 to 4.
Queries for the current setting of the current level.
Arguments Valid Values
Current: 0 = sets current level to 1
1 = sets current level to 2.
2 = sets current level to 3.
3 = sets current level to 4.
Examples Syntax Explanation
Command: DPTX:CLEV 1 Sets current level to level 2.
Query: DPTX:CLEV? Queries to determine current level setting.
DPTX:DPCD? Query reads the value from the specified address.
Arguments Valid Values
Address: Any DPCD address in hex
Bytes read: Number of bytes you want to read in decimal
Examples Syntax Explanation
Query: DPTX:DPCD? 0 12 Returns the value of the 12 bytes starting at
address 0000 hex.
DPTX:DTOP
DPTX:DTOP? Enables or disables the outputs with respect to link training.
