5. Operation

The order of xylene stations while the program is running is determined by the RMS system.

If the threshold value for xylene is exceeded, the operator is informed that xylene is due for replace-
ment via a screen message (

Fig. 151

) the next time a program is started.

The operator must confirm the screen message with YES so that the replacement process described
below can be carried out.

5.2.8 Replacing xylene

• Then the "exhausted" xylene will be transferred to RTU-bottle D3

during the program sequence.

• The remaining reagent from this station is pumped directly

into RTU-bottle D3 via the retort.

• In the next program run, 5 l of fresh xylene is drawn into

the retort from D3 and processed in this way.

• Afterwards, this xylene is transferred to the free system

bottle.

• The remaining xylene from D3 is then transferred directly

into the system bottle via the retort.
