4.8 Switching off the instrument correctly

If the instrument must be completely switched off or disconnected from the power supply, please
proceed as follows:

• Press the BACK button to switch to a window that contains the EXIT button.

• A prompt appears asking if you really want to shut down the system (exit) (

Fig. 70

).

Pressing YES saves all current data and shuts
down the instrument.

The instrument must then be switched off using the ON/OFF switch on the rear panel of the instrument
(

Item 37 in Fig. 3 / Fig. 26

).

Caution!

The ASP6025 is allowed to be switched off completely in this way only. Otherwise, severe damage to

the instrument's hardware and loss of data can occur.

After a complete shutdown, the paraffin cools down and becomes hard. You may no longer be able to

remove the paraffin bath drawers from the instrument.

Important!

If the ASP6025 is to remain shut off for a long period or be transported, it is mandatory to carry out a

SMART cleaning before it is switched off. (For more information, refer to

Chap. 6.1.4

)
