7. Troubleshooting
• If no infiltration program is running when a power failure is detected, no further actions / backup measures are taken -
the instrument shuts down automatically.
When a program is running:
• The program that is running is stopped, regardless of the current status of processing.

• If a reagent is being used for which no safe reagent is in the
instrument when the program starts, a warning message
appears (
Fig. 239 ). However, the program launch is NOT
aborted.
• If a safe reagent is in the retort, the reagent can be kept in
the event of power failure, though the retort may have to be
filled to a high enough level so that no tissue sample is dry.
This operation is automatically controlled by the instrument
and cannot be influenced by the operator.
• If no safe reagent is in the retort, depending on the cur-
rent status of processing the program that is in progress, a
"decision" is made about how to proceed.

To conserve the battery, all heaters, the agitator and the monitor are switched off directly.
