Cleaning and Maintenance
6.2 General instrument cleaning
• Wipe the paraffin baths and lids clean.
The lid can be removed for cleaning purposes.
• Wipe the paraffin station and lid clean.
• If they are very dirty, remove the wax sieves from the wax baths and the paraffin station. Clean,
dry, and reinsert them.
Instrument exterior
Clean the instrument exterior as necessary. Wipe with a damp cloth moistened with mild detergent
and dry.
Checking the drip tray

The collecting tray (16) must be inspected regularly for signs
of leaking reagents (
Fig. 224
). It is recommended to do this
after the infiltration and cleaning program has been completed,
before any leaking reagent has a chance to evaporate.
• To do so, pull the tray out by the handle (
Fig. 224)

Paraffin containers
Work carefully and wear gloves!
Be careful as the walls of the paraffin baths are very hot and may cause burns!
Caution!
Do not use solvents on painted surfaces, warning labels or the touchscreen.
CAUTION!
Some of the reagents used in the Leica
ASP6025 are hazardous to health. Therefore
always wear gloves and safety goggles when
handling them.
