The actual cleaning takes place in four steps, which are run automatically in sequence.
The SMART clean process
To start SMART cleaning, press the ENHANCEMENT button to
switch to that menu, and then press the SMART CLEAN button
in the INSTRUMENT CONTROL field (

Step 1
In the first phase, the fluid lines are all purged in sequence using
a blast of compressed air.
For this purpose, all system and RTU-bottles (in the reagent cab-
inet and in the drawer) have to be in the instrument (
Fig. 219
).

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Ensure that all system and RTU bottles (and the condensate bottle) have been completely emptied before starting.
The user is informed of the progress of cleaning at all times. If user actions are required, a corresponding message window appears
on the screen in which the next step has to be confirmed before SMART cleaning can be continued.
Make sure that the retort has drained completely. This instrument function is active if the status of the retort is
"full" or "partially full".
