Ink cartridges
The printer's six ink cartridges provide yellow, magenta, black, cyan, light cyan and light magenta ink to
the printheads. Ink cartridges require no maintenance or cleaning. As long as each ink cartridge is inserted
correctly into its slot, the ink will flow to the printheads.
NOTE Failure to use the recommended ink cartridge may lead to a deterioration of the print
quality or a printer malfunction.
The valid period of the ink is 3 months after the “Install By” date.
Do not shake ink cartridges before use.
All six color cartridges must be installed. If one of the cartridges is removed, a new one must be
installed.
Ink cartridges must be installed in all six slots. The positions of ink cartridges are specified by color. (See
the figure below.)
