6.4.4 - Setting-Up the AX3000

No OS/400 command allows the contents of a set-up file to be sent over the
network. The following example describes the use of rsh Windows command:

c:\> rsh 192.168.1.241 setup_send password < /tmp/axel

Where:

- 192.168.1.241 : AX3000 IP address,
- setup_send : command for set-up the AX3000,
- password

: specify the set-up password if set.

For more information about this command, refer to Chapter 10.

6.4.5 - Downloading a Firmware

To download an AX3000 firmware through TFTP:

===> RUNRMTCMD CMD('AX_DOWNLOAD password /axfirm/ax3000 192.168.1.180')
RMTLOCNAME('192.168.1.241' *IP)

To download an AX3000 firmware through BOOTP and TFTP:

===> RUNRMTCMD CMD('AX_DOWNLOAD password /axfirm/ax3000 192.168.1.180')

Parameters of the RUNRMTCMD command:

- AX_DOWNLOAD

: command for firmware downloading,

- password

:

specify the password if the set-up is password-
protected,

- /axfirm/ax3000 : path and name of the firmware file,
- 192.168.1.180 : AS/400 IP address,
- 192.168.1.241 : AX3000 IP address.

Messages are displayed on the target AX3000 (See Chapter 11.4).

6.4.6 - Editing AX3000 Statistics

Some AX3000 statistics can be obtained by invoking the following command:

===> RUNRMTCMD CMD(AX_GETSTAT) RMTLOCNAME('192.168.1.241' *IP)
