INSPECTION

FUEL CUT SOLENOID RECTIFIER

Check continuity between the terminals.

Use a tester that is equivalent to or higher than the perfor-
mance specified:

Internal resistance: 20 DNDC, 9 Ω

/v

AC

Be careful not to touch the metallic part of the tester probe
with your fingers, otherwise correct resilience value can-
not be obtained.

Read the tester manufacturer's operation instructions
carefully before operating the tester.

Follow the instructions of the Service Manual.

Be sure the tester's battery is fully charged and check the
meter before using the tester.

Use the R x 1 scale of a commercially available millimeter
that shows current flow from negative (-) to position (+). If
the mater shows current flow In one direction but not the
other, the diode is good.

ENGINE TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Be sure the engine is cool before this inspection.

1. Measure the air temperature before inspecting the

engine temperature sensor. For the specified resis-
tance value that should be shown at the air tempera-
ture, refer to the graph in the figure.

2. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the

engine temperature sensor, and make sure that it is
consistent with the value shown in the graph.

Resistance at 20° C
(Example)

2.3-3.0 kΩ
