5.1.3

Adjusting Auger Speed

The adapter auger is chain-driven from a sprocket that is mounted on the input shaft from the combine, and
which is enclosed in the drive gearbox.

The auger speed is determined by the combine input shaft, and is matched to each particular combine, so no
adjustment is necessary. However, optional drive sprockets are available to change the auger speed to optimize
auger performance. See your MacDon Dealer.

NOTE:

For special conditions, 20-, 22- and 26-tooth sprockets are available to change adapter feed auger speed.
Consult with your MacDon Dealer.
