5. Reinstall cover (C), by positioning the inboard lip into
the auger tube and rotating back to engage the rear
support.
6. Replace and tighten bolts (A) and (B).

Checking Oil Level in Header Drive Gearbox
Check oil level every 100 hours as follows:
CAUTION
Stop engine and remove key from ignition before
leaving operator's seat for any reason. A child or
even a pet could engage an idling machine.
1. Set cutterbar to working position. Shutdown combine
and remove key from ignition.
2. Remove plug (A). Oil level should be to bottom of hole.
3. Reinstall plug (A).
4. Add oil if required. Refer to Adding Oil to Header Drive
Gearbox, page 273 .
