background.

An alternative method to assign an item to a button is to right-click on the button. This
displays all possible items (buttons on other menus and Chapter Points on movies) it could
connect to. Follow the path to the desired item then click on it. In this case, we have no
buttons on the second menu, so it does not display as an option.
Assigning a Default Button
You can define a default button, used whenever buttons are automatically created, such as
when movies or menus are dragged directly onto the menu background.

1 Right-click on the button to be made default. In this case, select the same Thumbnail

Frame button used previously.

2 Select Set as Default. The button now has a yellow outline, indicating it is the default

button.

To Align the Button with the Text
There are a variety of alignment possibilities displayed on the Work Area Toolbar once you
have items in the menu.

Grayed out icons indicate they are inactive due to the current items selected.
To center the text and button horizontally:

1 Select the text item, hold down the keyboard's Ctrl button and then select the button

on the menu. The text has a green box around it, indicating it is selected, and the
button has a red box around it, indicating it was selected last, and is the master
(some alignment functions are relative to the master).

2 Center the text and button horizontally by clicking the horizontal alignment icon.

See the Using the Alignment and Sizing Tools topic for more information on this.
Save the current project by pressing Ctrl + S

Tip: An asterisk displays next to the file name on SpruceUp's Title Bar

if changes have been made to the project since it was last saved (or has
never been saved). You cannot export an unsaved project.
