SpruceUp User’s Guide

Something to Simulate!
You now have a title that can be simulated. Simulate the title by clicking on button 2 in the
Main Control area (lower left part of the window) or using the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl +
2
. After a few moments, the simulation controls appear along the bottom of the Work Area,
and your opening menu displays in the Work Area.
Use the simulation controls to highlight the button you assigned the movie to, and click on
the simulator's Enter button

. The movie now starts playing. Press the simulator's Root

Menu button to return to the menu.
The simulator is a quick way to find any linking problems, such as buttons with nothing
assigned to them or a menu with no way out. See the Simulation topic for details.
Something to Export!
If so desired, you can now export your title to hard drive, CD-ROM, or other storage media.
Click on button 3 in the Main Control area. This opens the Export dialog, where you set all
aspects of writing the title. See the Export topic for details.

Note: SpruceUp's trial version limits you to two exports.

Working with Movie Assets

There are a number of things you can do to or with a movie:

• Change its EyeFrame™.
• Add Chapter Points.
• Add web links to chapter points.

• Capture a frame to use as a background.
• Make buttons of the Chapter Points.

All of this is done within the Clip Properties dialog. Open Clip Properties by using the mouse
to double-click on the movie. See the Clip Properties topic for details.
