when selected by the viewer. Red (255/0/0) defines the highlight area, black (0/0/0)
defines the darkened area, and white (255/255/255) or transparent defines the unaffected
area. The Subpicture must exist within the Mask area.
Make sure the Subpicture highlight area is large enough so that the viewer can easily tell
which button is currently selected.

Thumbnail

The Thumbnail is an optional part of the button. It defines an area where the video
thumbnail for a movie or menu displays on the button. It is black (0/0/0) where the
thumbnail appears, and transparent where it does not.

The actual shape of the Thumbnail is not too important – SpruceUp scales the video
thumbnail frame to fit (with extra bits being chopped off).

General Information

Photoshop can import graphics from other programs for use in its layers. This means you do
not have to create all of the elements with it.
You can also make buttons of text.

Important: SpruceUp assumes all ".PSD" files are buttons. If you

want to use a Photoshop image as a background, you must use its Save a
Copy... function and save it as a flattened (single layer) TIFF, BMP, or JPEG
file.
