Using the Color Dialog

The color dialog is used by three functions within SpruceUp: Text, Drop Shadows, and
Button Maker. All three share the Custom Colors palette, making it easier to use a
coordinated color system within a project.

The above dialog appears when you select Define Custom Colors when using Text and
Drop shadow functions, or when you press the Other button when using Button Maker.

There are 48 basic colors to choose from by simply clicking on the one you want and then
OK. You can also define a custom color by selecting the Define Custom Colors mode. Click
in the hue/saturation area and drag the cursor until the correct color appears, then click in
the luminance area and drag until the luminance is as desired.

You can also enter values in the Hue/Sat/Lum or Red/Green/Blue areas.
Click OK to use the color directly, or Add to Custom Colors to add as one of the 16
Custom Colors.

Note: SpruceUp does not save these settings once you close

SpruceUp.

Tip: To avoid overwriting an existing custom color, select one of the

16 Custom Color locations before creating the color. With no location
selected, pressing
Add to Custom Colors always uses the upper-left
location.
