SpruceUp User’s Guide

Export Interface

The ultimate goal when working with SpruceUp is to create a DVD title that can
be played back, either on PCs or set-top DVD players. The Export dialog contains
the tools needed to compile the title and write it to DVD-R, CD-R, or other
media. See the DVD Basics topic for details on the various playback devices and

other issues relating to the DVD and CD formats.

Use the Export mode once you have simulated the title and feel comfortable everything is
working as you intended.

SpruceUp Trial Version

SpruceUp's trial version has a limitation of two watermarked exports. This includes writing
Title Sets and Disc Images and using the Test Write button. A warning displays letting you
know whether you have exports remaining.

To register, choose the Menu Bar's Help pull down menu then the Registration/Upgrade
item. See the Registering SpruceUp topic for details on upgrading to the full version.

Opening the Export Interface

Select the Export mode by clicking on the Export (3) button in the Main Control area or
using the shortcut of Ctrl + 3. The user interface changes a bit when you select this mode:
an Export Summary replaces the Media Gallery and the Export Dialog replaces the Work
Area.
