View Pull Down

The View pull down provides settings to choose the way SpruceUp displays on your
computer.

1-Author – Ctrl + 1
Switches SpruceUp into the Author mode. This is the same as selecting button 1 in the Main
Control Area.

2-Simulate – Ctrl + 2
Switches SpruceUp into the Simulate mode. This is the same as selecting button 2 in the
Main Control Area.
3-Export – Ctrl + 3
Switches SpruceUp into the Export mode. This is the same as selecting button 3 in the Main
Control Area.
Launch Window – Ctrl + 4
Use this to open SpruceUp's Launch Window. Normally this window opens only when
starting SpruceUp. Access it at any time you want to use its features, such as starting the
Tutorial or viewing the "Tips of the Day". See the Launch Window topic for details.
Clip Properties – Ctrl + 5
Use this to open the Clip Properties dialog for the currently selected Media Gallery movie.
Alternative ways to open it are to double-click on the movie or right-click on the movie and
select Clip Properties. See the Clip Properties topic for details.
Drop Shadow Properties – Ctrl + 6
Use this to open the Drop Shadow Properties dialog. This does not turn drop shadows
on/off, it just allows you access to the properties dialog.
Gallery View – Ctrl + Tab to cycle through these
Use this to select which of the three media types to display in the Media Gallery. It has the
following submenus:

Backgrounds – Same as clicking on the Backgrounds tab.
Buttons – Same as clicking on the Buttons tab.

Movie Clips – Same as clicking on the Movies tab.

Show
Opens a submenu allowing you to toggle the following Work Area Toolbar functions:

Rulers – Ctrl + R

Toggles the display of rulers on the left and top edges of the display. When an item is
selected and moved, red marks on the ruler indicate its position.

Grid – Ctrl + G

Toggles the display of a grid. Items automatically snap to the grid lines when released
after being moved while the grid is enabled.

Safe Zone – Ctrl + T

Toggles the display of the Safe Area overlay. Use this to ensure menu items display on
the screen on monitors and televisions that overscan the display, chopping off the
edges.

Drop Shadow – Ctrl + H

Toggles the drop shadow status on the currently selected item(s).
