2 Click on the Add Chapter Point button.

3 Set the name for the point. By default, it is given the name "Chapter X", where "X" is

the number of this point (based on the order it was created – not where it is on the
timeline).

4 Add text to the URL section. This can be a URL for a web site or a file name you would

like to have opened (for example a PDF file – be sure to include the path). See the
SpruceUp's "URL" Entry topic for details.

5 For this tutorial, insert four more Chapter Points (so there are six total).

Changing the EyeFrame
You can set the EyeFrame for each Chapter Point.

1 Select the Chapter Point you would like to change, either by clicking on its flag on the

timeline or by using the arrows on either side of the name field.

2 Drag the timeline's eye icon to the desired position. This can be either before or after

the Chapter Point. Note that the image changes in the small EyeFrame window located
on the lower left of the dialog.

3 Click the left and right arrow buttons on each side of the EyeFrame window to trim the

setting.

Making Chapter Buttons
You can automatically make a set of buttons, one for each Chapter Point, to be placed on
the current menu.

1 Click on the Make Chapter Buttons button.

Two things happen when you do this:

• If there are any existing buttons on the menu, a dialog displays providing options to

keep or delete the existing buttons (text remains).

• The buttons are sized and arranged in a balanced fashion, and given the style of the

default button.

Changing the Menu Background
You can replace the background of the current menu with a frame selected with the Scrub
Bar.

1 Position the Scrub Bar to select the frame to use as the menu's background.

2 Click the Capture Frame to Menu Background button.

Adding Frames to the Background Assets
You can add frames from the current movie to the Background assets part of the Media
Gallery.

1 Position the Scrub bar to select the frame to add to the background assets.

2 Click the Capture Frame to Background Gallery button.

Exiting the Clip Properties Dialog
To close the dialog:

1 Click Close on the Clip Properties window.

Note that the icon for the movie has been updated to show the number of Chapter Points
