To assist with the management of files and data created by the iQ5 software, one or more user
profiles may be created for users of the MyiQ2, MyiQ or iQ5 systems.

User profiles in the iQ5 software consist of:

Login name (required)

Password (optional)

Permission settings for collecting, saving, and analyzing data

Preferred defaults (user preferences) for collecting, saving, and analyzing data


NOTE: All user profile information resides on the hard drive of the computer where the software
has been installed, this means that user profile information cannot be shared over a network.


When the software is installed, the default user profile has the ability to add and configure
additional users through the User Profile module. The User Profile module is where users can be
added, their permissions controlled and their preferences set. This module of the iQ5 software
consists of 2 tabs:

User Preferences

Administration

8.1 User Preferences

User Preferences, found in the User Profile module, can be used to customize the preferences of
the currently logged in User.


For each User created in the iQ5 software, user-specific preferences can be set for:

File Paths

Plate Setup options

Protocol options

File Selection at application startup

PCR Quant module analysis settings
