Start Parameter Manager

Parameter Manager can be started from Segment Viewer, Device Navigator, or Device

Maintenance Info. The following describes how Parameter Manager starts from each of the

above.

Select a device in Segment Viewer and start Parameter Manager.

Parameter Manager starts in Device mode.

Select a Database device in Device Navigator and start Parameter Manager.

Parameter Manager starts in Database mode.
The latest parameters data stored in Database are loaded and shown in the left and right of the

screen.
(The same data is shown on the left and right.)
If there is no parameter data stored in the database, no parameter value is shown after startup.

Select stored parameter in Device Maintenance Info and start Parameter

Manager at Parameters tab, right click view.

Parameter Manager starts in Database mode.
The specified stored parameter is loaded to the left and right of the screen during startup.
(The same parameter is shown on the left and right.)

Select 2 stored parameters in Device Maintenance Info and start Parameter

Manager at Parameters tab, right click Compare.

Parameter Manger starts in Database mode.
The specified stored parameters are loaded to the left and right of the screen during startup.

Entering Reason

When you modify a device parameter and select Download Checked Parameters, you can enter

the reason, which then appears in History.
You can enter up to 50 single-byte characters in the Reason entry field.

When you select Download Checked Parameters, the following dialog appears. You can

enter an arbitrary character string and the entered character string is stored in History.

(You can also leave the Reason entry field empty and press the OK button.)
