Acquiring Device Information

Placing the infrared receiving port on the field wireless device and the infrared port of the adapter

close together, and clicking the [Gather Device Information] button starts reading of device

information from the field wireless device. The [Provisioning Information] tab page shows such

information as manufacturer of the device, model, device revision, device EUI-64, network ID,

and battery life.

TIP

Communication may fail due to the characteristics of infrared communication. In such cases, try again.

The information displayed on the [Provisioning Information] tab page is shown in Table -H-1.

Setting Rules of Device Tag

The following rules are prescribed for device tags which can be set in field wireless devices. This

application allows only character strings which can be set to be entered.

• Up to 16 characters
• Alphabets, numerals, hyphens, and underbars
(Capital letter of alphabets in single-byte)

Setting Rules of Network ID

The network ID is an ID for identifying wireless networks. Decimals ranging from 2 to 65535 can

be used. The field wireless device with the same network ID as YFGW710 will be connected to

the corresponding YFGW710. How to assign network IDs depends on the user’s system design.
