Select the Database Device in Device Navigator and Start up DTM Works

In the case where the communication type is HART, FOUNDATION fieldbus, PROFIBUS, or

BRAIN:
1. Starts up DTM Works in the BIC mode.
2. DTM Works displays a window to select the DTM data. (*1)
3. DTM Works displays the DTM Offline window in the disconnected state.
In both cases, the subsequent use of Connect allows for transition to the state of being connected

to the connected device.

In the case where the communication type is “Other”:
DTM Works cannot be started by Select DTM.
1. HMI displays a window to select the FDT project, and uses the FDT project that was

selected by the user to start up DTM Works in the UDC mode.

2. DTM Works displays a window to select the DTM data. (*1)
3. DTM Works loads the FDT project and displays the Offline window in the disconnected state

in the foreground.

In both cases, the subsequent use of Connect allows for transition to the state of being connected

to the connected device.

1: The selection window appears only when the DTM data is stored in the device maintenance information of the relevant device. If

there is no DTM data, the selection window does not appear and the DTM data is not set. The process goes to step (3).

Select the DTM Data in Device Maintenance Info and Start up DTM Works by

Selecting Action → View.
