D Overview
FieldMate is available in Basic and Advance version. This section describes the features
of Basic and Advance.
D-1 Basic
This version enables the status confirmation, setting, adjustment, and replacement of
Yokogawa’s BRAIN devices, and HART, FOUNDATION fieldbus H1, and PROFIBUS devices
and ISA100 devices (including those of other vendors).
It can only be used when the device is directly connected via:
USB FieldMate modem (BRAIN)
NI-FBUS Series 2 (FOUNDATION fieldbus H1)
FFusb (FOUNDATION fieldbus H1)
USB HART modem/USB FieldMate modem (HART)
PROFIusb (PROFIBUS)
Viator Bluetooth Modem (HART)
Infrared Adapter, ACT-IR224UN-LN96-LE 9600bps (ISA100)
Field Wireless Gateway, YFGW (ISA100)
• Communication Protocols and Communication Routes
FieldMate supports BRAIN, FOUNDATION fieldbus H1, PROFIBUS, and HART
communication protocols and direct connection NI-FBUS Series 2, FFusb, USB FieldMate
modem, USB HART modem, PROFIusb, IR224UN-LN96 and YFGW communication
routes. It also handles devices with different communication protocols or communication
routes at the sametime.
• Adoption of open FDT/DTM
FieldMate has a function that serves as an FDT container that complies with FDT 1.2 and
FDT 2.0 Specification.
• Recording of Operation Logs
Operations performed using this software are saved as logs for later reference.
• Device Interaction Functions
Simply connecting field devices to a physical segment allows FieldMate to recognize them
automatically and display the operation status of individual field devices in an easy-to-
understand way.
Furthermore, FieldMate can configure initial settings such as tag and address settings. It
also runs DTM to check and set field device parameters, and runs DD Menu, DTM, and
other functions to set and adjust devices.
• Device Parameter Management Function
This function enables the uploading and downloading of snapshots of device parameters,
exporting and importing to/from a file, and comparison.
