Mode −18: Homing to the positive limit stop

With this mode, the drive traverses in positive direction until reaching the limit stop. The
931E servo positioning controller needs at least 1 second to detect the limit stop. When
selecting the limit stop, ensure that it will not be damaged when the maximum current
parameterised will be applied. The zero position directly refers to the limit stop.

Homing modes −17 and −18 may only be selected, if the mechanical
components of the positioning axis have been dimensioned accordingly. Select
the traversing speed as low as possible to limit the kinetic energy when
traversing against the limit stop.

Mode 35: Homing to the current position (no run)

With mode 35, the zero position will be referred to the current position when homing is
started.

6.1

Parameterisation of homing

The homing parameters are selected in the Homing position menu. Select Parameters

W Homing position or click the REF button in the toolbar to open the menu.

The below window will appear:

Click Positioning settings to open the menu for parameterising the general positioning
settings, e.g. position limits. See the chapter "Global positioning settings". (
