Termination

This field sets the port for DCE (data communication equipment) or DTE (data
terminal equipment). This is not used in the 9111.

Timeouts to Mark Offline

This field determines the consecutive number of times a station can timeout before
the unit marks it offline. The selections are 1 to 255, 3.

Trailing Pad Characters

Pad characters are dummy characters sent at the end of a synchronous transmission.
A value of 1 is the only allowable entry. All others are ignored. The selection is 1.

Offline Delay Retry

This is the time, in seconds, the unit waits between attempts to poll a station that is
marked offline. The selections are 1 to 255, 30.

Turnaround Delay

The turnaround delay is the time, in milliseconds, the unit waits between the
receipt of a message and the transmission of the response. If the connected device
seems to be missing messages because they are coming back too quickly, this
value should be increased.

The values for this parameter are in 10-millisecond increments. A value that is not
a factor of 10 rounds down to the nearest 10-millisecond factor.
Example: A value of 15 rounds down to 10 milliseconds.

The selections are 0 to 2550, 10.

Maximum Select before Poll

This value represents the consecutive number of selects that are sent to a device
before normal polling is resumed. This prevents a locking condition where a
terminal constantly NAKs a select because it has a message to send. The selections
are 1 to 255.

RTS/CTS Control

This parameter controls the RTS (request to send) and CTS (clear to send)
signaling. The DTE /DCE setting of the port determines which lead is effected by
this parameter. The selections are shown in Table 7-1.

Table 7-1 RTS/CTS Control

Setting

DTE

DTE

O (on)

RTS is always on.

CTS is always on.

D (dynamic)

RTS is on during
data transmit.

CTS is on in
response to RTS.

F (floating)

RTS is not used.

CTS is not used.
