Logoff Function

Enter the remote connection menu through the main menu of the console. Choose
between connection, disconnection process, and a list of actual connections.
Choose the list, which always includes the local connection with its unit number.
There must be no duplicate unit numbers in the network. When prompted for the
unit number of a remote machine. Enter the unit number of the unit defined in the
X.25 access list, if the two units are linked through an X.25 path. Now, enter the
two ASCII characters configured for the reserved logical channel. Press the Enter
key and wait. If the connection is established, a message is displayed. If the
connection did not get through, check the configuration.

When the connection is established, any command available on any console menu
entered with the remote unit number is sent to this remote unit. The response from
the remote unit is displayed in the format as a local command.

Connect to

remote unit

To connect to a remote console, enter C. The following prompt is displayed.

ENTER UNIT # (XXX):

Enter the unit number of the communications platform to connect to address:

An address must be entered only if X.25 is used.

Disconnect

from

remote unit

To disconnect from a remote console, enter D. A screen similar to the following is
displayed.

Enter the unit number of the communications platform to disconnect from.address:

An address must be entered only if X.25 is used.

Logoff
Function

The Logoff Function is used to disconnect the console from the communication
platform, so a remote console may be connected to the local communication
platform.
