IP Address

This is a 32-bit value. It represents the IP address of the circuit being defined.
Decimal notations with periods are used here. A valid example is 192.207.87.1.
See Table 18-1 for reserved and available IP addresses.

IP Mask

This is a 32-bit value. It represents the IP mask of the circuit being defined.
Decimal notations with periods are used here. A valid example is 255.255.255.0.
See Table 18-1 for reserved and available IP addresses.

Maximum Transmit Unit

This value ranges from 576 to 1600 and corresponds to the maximum size of an IP
packet. If a message to send is longer, the data is partitioned into many packets.
The default value is 1600.

Cost of This Circuit

The Cost of This Circuit value represents a way of defining the speed of the
associated circuit. This value allows the router to evaluate the best route when
many are available. Generally, the smaller the Cost of This Circuit value, the better
the route. Table 18-2 shows some some typical values. The default value is 1..
